The Fashion Law MAN: Saint Laurent

We were in attendance at the Saint Laurent fall 2013 menswear show and it was everything. Hedi Slimane redeemed himself (for that oh-so-boring Pre-Fall collection) with his first menswear collection. Complete with skinny trousers, lots of leather, heroin-chic models and ultra-slim tailoring that was to die for, Fall 2013 is the Hedi Slimane aesthetic personified. The collection is wearable and felt completely authentic. A few side notes ... Cathy Horyn was not in attendance. And like Burberry, Slimane's showed a red and black striped sweater (and scarves), which felt very Givenchy. All in all Hedi performed well - which was to be expected, as menswear always was his strongpoint.

  1. All he need is a good stylist, this awful styling is really painful and drowned some very few interesting pieces.
He might able to do men couture clothes which elegantly tailored to death and he just simply not.
Stubborn, arrogance and his divine madness definitely his eternal flaw that make him going nowhere.
This collection is so bad, too bad or even worst..

    1. I agree that the styling is far from great and that Hedi is certainly arrogant to say the least. If we judge the collection in terms of wearability, it is good, but I think he still could have done better.

    2. I do really love the vibe, though.
